I am currently writing my dissertation on the relationship between Muslim religiosity and earnings management and I really want to discuss with experts in the field.
Certainly, this topic is broad. You can primarily link it to the ethical aspect, without forgetting to address the subject from a historical perspective .Good luck to you.
Islam is not only a religion, it teaches you a way of life that can influence the structure of your personal life, relationships with others, and work environment. Since Islam emphasizes the right of people, it can have a deterrent role in relation to earnings management. But the point that is important is that many Muslims do not observe these things, it can be because of their weak faith and belief in religion.
There are many people who are Muslims but they are doing earnings management. It can be influenced by religion, but only religion cannot be the influencing factor. Factors such as personal interests, love of money, personality traits, fear of dismissal can be effective.
