In addition to Thematic analysis method, described by Bruan & Clarke, I would like to suggest thinking about using coding and memoing techniques proposed by Kathy Charmaz in her book Constructing Grounded Theory

Does not matter if your goal is not related to development of a theory, coding and memoing techniques are well explained and easy to implement.
You could try Graham Gibbs he has written two books, Qualitative Data Analysis: Explorations with NVivo , for the Open University Press and Analyzing Qualitative Data , for Sage - either/both of these should cover what you are after
