It is nothing new to say that the current system for publishing scientific articles has issues, mainly with the paywall that it imposes in front of essential information for the advancement of different disciplines all over the world.

Considering the average paper can have easily over 30 references and most of the world cant pay the high prices of even 1 article that they dont even know will be useful, it seems a counterproductive process to be a part of.

"free" papers do exist but tend to have lower impact and some of them charge a large amount during the publishing process and people from developing countries are put in a clear disadvantage.

What alternative do we have to publish in a very visible, peer reviewed journal or platform without having to pay to do an essential part of our job as scientists?
