For periodically produced official statistics from a government agency, what information on sampling error and nonsampling error, say standard errors and bias, would you want to see? What other metadata do you want regarding data collection methodology and/or other concerns? Would you rather have inaccurate data available in a timely manner, or would you consider it counterproductive to be given data likely more inaccurate than the change reported from a previous such periodically produced cross-sectional survey? When an agency reports official statistics, do you expect that the number of digits reported should be indicative of the accuracy of such a published number?
