Possible examples found recently on ResearchGate:

Each of these "numbers" cover a topic which could be broken down into subtopics which would each need to be weighted, at least implicitly, in some way, or have some individual consideration, and could each be rather nebulous on its own.  So we then are obliged to consider when, if ever, might such an aggregate, nebulous (pseudo-)measure be useful, and when would it be too misleading. 

The two examples above came up recently.  What others are there?  And why would each suggestion you might have be considered too broad of a 'measure'?
