Was anyone successful in IHC staining of c-Fos or Egr-1 on paraffin embedded sections from mouse olfactory sensory epithelium (VNO, MOE)? Especially, not using Santa-Cruz antibodies? I am being quite unsuccessful for some time, but I am an IHC beginner ….

I know this problem of Santa-Cruz-Antibodies. Here my recommadations:
c-fos: Synaptic Systems (sysy.com) #226003 works on paraformaldehyd fixed frozen rat and mouse sections. It might work on paraffin sections. Run a dilution raw with different dilutions, play with different ditection systems and enhansment techniques like antige retrievel to find out which is the best.
EGR-1: cellsignal.com #4153 should work on paraffin sections. Ask the company for a small test aliquot. Different dilutions to find out the optmal once should be recommanded as well. Good luck!
Many thanks! I is two months now I ma doing just that with ABclonal A2444 with the company´s advises on antigen retrieval and SantaCruz and Vector Lab detection system, the brain show some results but the sensory epithelium is a tricky one ...
