How should visual inspection be done for parenteral solution with dark blue color in transparent vial?
We are manufacturing a new parenteral product which has dark blue color and is filling in transparent vial.
We have checked visual inspection process by 8000-10000 lux , but it is not suitable to have perfect view to find particles.
Should we just use sampling for this issue?
Is there any special method for this kind of solution visual inspection?

Hi, I have found your question regarding visual inspection of dark color of the solution. We have the same problem in our department with methylene blue. We have also a problem with the visual inspection in ampoules due to dark blue color of the solution. Did you find a solution of this problem in your company. I would be grateful for your response. Methylene blue adsorb strongly at 600 nm, Do not adsorbed at 400 nm. green glass filter may help. The same which is used for calibration of spectrometers.
