Yesterday, I found out that there is going to be a second Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville.
https://unitetherightrally.com/
Court documents say that the first UniteThe Right was not just a rally, but a "coordinated campaign" organized on Discord "to intimidate, harass, incite, and cause violence to people based on their race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation [...]"

The statue was just a pretext, as free speech (the theme for the next rally) is just a pretext.
As others have observed, tensions might be too high for any of these options. I want to ask researcher explore possible ways to distort the message without inciting violence.
Here is what I have come up with so far. I encourage any researcher to share any of the following
- links of successful protests that did not end in violence
-pros and cons to anything I have mentioned so far
-lessons from the first rally
-anything you feel is applicable to this
1.Banning the Event/Denying the Permit -Kessler will probably sue -Event will continue anyway
2.Silence/Allowing the Event to Occur and Media Outlets Not Publicizing it

-probabably in the early stages of the various groups' development
-they will show up either way
-they have their own media platforms for recruiting
-news is too alluring
3.Humor/Trolling (My Top Pick)

-tensions most likely too high to be successful
4.Tricking the marchers into donating to charities to fight violent extremism.
