TUNEL assay in 3, 4 , 5 dpf zebrafish larvae?

Dear,

I am going to perform a TUNEL assay in 3dpf or 4dpf zebrafish larvae? what test or kit that you can maybe suggest? is there any protocol for that? can the apoptosis level in the body of the larvae be observed by fluorescence microscope?

Hi Duc-Hung,

The readout of the Tunel assay depends on which protocol you use, it can be fluorescent. I haven't tried any kits, but if you are getting one, I suggest you follow the manufacturer's protocol, you should be able to access them online. You may have to slightly adjust your protocol (concentrations, time) for different developmental stages.
