I recently used MCE's Basement Membrane Matrix (HY-K6002) to conduct cell tube formation experiments.
I would like to ask about the criteria for judging the tube formation time.
I have inoculated endothelial cells after plating according to the instructions. I would like to know at what time point I usually start observing.

The tube formation time is significantly correlated with the cell state:
1. Influence of cell state:
- When the immortalized endothelial cell line (such as HUVECs immortalized strain) in the logarithmic growth phase is in good condition, the initial tube structure (such as cell cord arrangement) usually begins to appear 2-3 hours after inoculation;
- If the cell passage number is too high (>15 generations), the density is too low (
