I have lyophilized chitosan nanoparticles, and I got a sticky kind of substance instead of a powder. Is the problem because of a fault in the sonication process that failed to become powder?
Dear Henry Kolge can you tell me for how many hours the lyophilisation process needs to be carried out for 0.9g of low molecular chitosan dissolved in 0.5%(v/v) acetic acid ? After 24hrs in magnetic stirrer it was passed through a membrane filter (0.45 micron) , centrifuged at 13,000 rpm for 2 hrs and solvent discarded. Following that I had initially lyophilised it for 3 hrs after which I observed a sheet like subtance. Then I placed in the lyophiliser again.
Could you please share me an image of lyophilised chitosan nanoparticle?
