My doubt is about using MCF-7 cell line as a model for assessing the toxicity of fibrils. My fibrils are toxic to this cell line and the compound under study is ameliorating the toxicity. Therefore, can it be concluded that the compound is less toxic or more toxic because the cell line under study is a cancer cell line? Need to clear this doubt at the earliest..
i suggest you also check the effect of your compound in normal breast cell lines, such as MCF 10 A for comparison. If your compound give no significant effect on MCF 10A, then we can sure that the activity is specific to the cancer cell lines only. Hope it helps!
Further to make your hypothesis strong and contrasting you can also use another breast cancer cell line model like MDA-MB-231 for the same.

There is no such a compound has no cytotoxicity under the certain circumstances. Therefore you should lower the concentrations of the compound for testing to find non-cytotoxic concentration for MCF7 cell line. And then use this non-toxic concentrations for healing.
MCF7 has been used as a very sensitive anticancer drug screening cell line for a long time. If you use MCF7 cell line you should consider this fact. I am using this cell line to compare the test results of anticancer activity of new compounds on very chemoresistant cell lines.
