Hello everyone,

We are performing standard quality tests of wide range of raw materials following national and international standards (ASTM, MIL etc). Some procedures requires titration with alcoholic acids and/or bases but the type of titrant changes from one procedure to other. For instance, some needs methanolic KOH whereas another one uses methanolic NaOH or ethanolic NaOH. As a result, we need to prepare a lot of different standards that requires chemicals and labor work. I want to simplify the procedures and use one standard for different titrations. Anyone has any experience about the issue, that is, using methanolic NaOH instead of methanolic or ethanolic KOH makes any difference?

Thank you
