Tissue slices with organoid medium?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have experience growing tissue slice 3D models of any cancer in organoid mediums and/or if they would be useful to increase the lifespan/stability of tissue slices?

I am aiming to grow some oral cancer tissue slices and lifespans are short with normal medium (DMEM used until now, I reckon we may use RPMI 1640), but would welcome suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Hi Miguel,

using organoid media (I believe you would use HNSCC organoid media?) for tissue slices might be a costly enterprise, since RSPO and Noggin are costly factors, which are crucial components of the organoid media.

What is the media composition you used for the tissue slice culture? Have you considered to add growth factors, e.g. EGF/FGF-2?
