Hi everyone! I left my mouse brain tissue in the fridge for just over a month without sodium azide and now some of them are stuck together ! I realize azide was necessary but I didn’t realize they can’t last a month without it. They’re fixed in PFA and sectioned at 30 microns. The tissue isn’t separating easily and I’m afraid I’ll rip them if I try harder. I tried washing overnight in PBS but it hasn’t wor ked as well.

Can anyone please help me figure a way I can get these tissue to separate from each other ? I know someone here suggested using coconut water but does anyone have any details on how they can be used, if it can work or affect the staining ? Or any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated !
