We're interested in isolating MSCs from bovine umbilical cord (UC).

We were wondering about these issues:

1. Most births occur at night, and we will probably be able to do the collection at the morning. How long after calving (birth) can we still collect the UC?

2. Under what conditions is it best to keep the UC once it is collected, until cell isolation starts? we were thinking putting it on ice. any reasons not to? is it better to keep it at rt?

any other tips will be greatly appreciated
