our research find that meningeal lymphatic vessel is discontiguous, even in the young mice, so how does mLV drain CSF and macromolecule? I’m so confused😶
As it is with lymphatic vessels everywhere..directly via the cell membranes. In the meninges, blood and CSF is only separated through (partially fenestrated) basal membranes and endothelia of the ‘meningeal capillaries’. Active transport and passive diffusion. Meningeal vessels are not really vessels …these are cellular channels adjacent to blood leading structures.
