Dear colleagues,

We're desperately waiting for a reply from the RG support and Help Center, but our three requests left non-answered.

There are two copies of the same our new paper (DOI:10.1098/rspb.2023.1458), but having different order of co-authors - right and wrong.

Because one copy (with wrong order of the authors) was added by the Research Gate itself (in partnership with the Proceedings of the Royal Society, London), we can't neither delete nor correct it or fuse it. It somehow exists "independently" of our authors' profiles and has DOI.

In contrast, the correct copy is visible in our authors's profiles, but we can't add its DOI.

As a result the same paper exists as two versions that doubles the number of references in our authors' lists, doubles reads, etc. It is potentially possible that people will start refer our paper as two different papers.

URL of the correct copy is here (first author is Grant, no DOI can be added)

URL of the copy with the wrong co-authors' order (with DOI) is here

Does anybody know how to correct this situation?

on behalf of all co-authors,

Dr A. Ostrovsky
