(1) previous articles suggested upper limit of subarchnoid space was 4-10 mm (craniocortical width) in infants. but this range of upper limits was too wide.
(2) I want to know the relationships of brain development and enlargement of subarachnoid space.
Congcong Liu please see the two papers below which do an excellent job of summarizing the statistical distribution and percentiles of subarachnoid space measurements over an infant's development using ultrasound. This can be extrapolated to MRI if the true scale is known on imaging.
