I guess you can contact your local Prof. in the Universities/institutions, or you can attend some workshops based on PCR training. I dont think you fill find some studenship for the same, unless untill you get a nice project deals with the PCR.
I agree with Ananda Ayyappan. You can involve in research in yours institutions. some PhD researchers need assistant, you can apply in or you can take training in any genetic department in yours country
Thanks to you all. If there were any of such opportunities, I wouldn't have posted my request. i don't want to be a HALF-BAKED molecular biologist, that is why I am reaching out.
There's many online resources on the subject, you could start there? You can find two lab guides here: http://molecular-biology.weebly.com/lab-guides.html and there's also many webinars on the subject (I'll try to post one or two for you tomorrow).
PS: I know you wanted a laboratory course, but understanding the principles is waaaay more important than pipetting the samples in my opinion. What you would have a bit of difficulty with when performing the pcr for own your research is the instrument's software, and that, well, is different depending on the company that makes it. So you wouldn't benefit much from doing it in a class and then trying to use a different pcr anyway.
Ah! you never came back to the thread and there are now seminar links on the address I gave you (well, under the courses category), so I assumed you were fine. Here's two links I picked from the website, but check there to find the rest: http://appliedbiosystems.cnpg.com/lsca/webinar/felton/20061004/
