In our recent MTT assay using the MCF-7 cell line treated with Tamoxifen, we observed a surprising increase in cell proliferation at low concentrations (below 1 μM). Interestingly, the same pattern was observed in the Tamoxifen-resistant MCF-7/TAMR cells, which we could interpret as a result of their resistance mechanisms. However, in the parental MCF-7 cell line, this proliferative response at low Tamoxifen concentrations was unexpected. I was wondering if you could kindly share your thoughts or insights regarding this observation.
