Not sure how much is reasonable for you, but there're multiple institutions (including some industries) that have a vector core, where they can construct, generate and purify an adenovirus for you. However, generating and producing adenoviral vectors is not difficult at all, if you're familiar with general cloning and cell culture. You can take a look at AdEasy website (http://www.coloncancer.org/adeasy.htm). I know the famous adenovirus researcher who used to be in your institution, he just left from your institution!

I am just getting a construct made by ABM (www.abmgood.com) - a Canadian company. I can't vouch for how reliable they are yet as they are still making the construct for me but they were very prompt and easy to deal with in my discussions with them. They are also the cheapest that I found (especially if you are subcloning the gene of interest - they have their pricing on their website but they will discount if you ask). I have used Welgen in the past. The first construct they made for me didn't work but they replaced it free of charge without any fuss (and actually gave me 3ml of replacement virus rather than the 1ml I had ordered). I would use them again as I thought they gave good service however price is always an issue and ABM are substantially cheaper so thought I'd take the risk of trying them this time. Good luck!

Yeah, I looked at their website. Does the $1250 for "Recombinant Adenovirus Expressing cDNA" include everything after handing them a the plasmid cloned into the vector, up to the point where they hand me a stock of adenovirus? Thanks everyone for the feedback.
