Kindly advice and suggest new project topics that I could work upon in the area of Counselling Psychology as partial fulfilment of my Degree of Masters in Psychology (specialisation Counselling Psychology).
It needs to be a research(study/quantitative) project mostly comparative and empirical data collection on some relevant untouched topic.

Hi Meghna! I think is a good topic for your advice for the project is the integral formation of the students. So that they can develop all their potential and take advantage of all aspects of University life, provides the student advice and guidance.
Counseling provides students the advice and guidance of a professor from his early years at the University and throughout all their studies.
Some of the objectives of counselling are as follows:
-Information and advice at the beginning of University studies.
-Contribute to training in professional skills and personal habits.
-Guide in the academic route.
-Help decide in the field of vocational guidance.

I find the topic of Grief and Complicated grief both extremely important and with gaps in literature and knowledge. Also, therapeutic implications are still unclear.
Loss of a dear one or any other important entity or skill is part of life, Thus,we all go through grieving process. How we resolve the grief, and how to prevent going to complicated grief is what really netters.

Smart phones, amount of screen time children and adolescents are on them, and finally its effects brain development. Trust me as a mother of a 12 and 15 year old, we need some data to share with students and parents.

Marta: The topic you have suggested is not entirely clear to me. Do you mean, issues and problems faced by University Students, that impact their life skills??? Sorry for being a bit dumb. Could you explain the exact "research question" you want to be studied? :)
Jelena: Your topic is interesting and yes I do observe each one of us carry some or the other burden of grief, which little by little eats away the real self(personality of an individual). The process to overcome grief is different for different people, a lot depends on the individual's nature and personality and his/her relationship with the departed. Definitely a unique path different from the conventional Anxiety/depression/stress studies. Thanks. :)
Daria: I am with you on this I have a 11 yr son and a 6 yrs old daughter. But both my husband and I made a conscious decision not to allow them to play/explore with our smart phones/laptops etc. unless it is necessary and TV time is limited to 1 hr only. But yes it is a growing menace that both parents and children are unable to acknowledge. I do think a lot of research is already happening in this area. Will explore and decide. Thanks :)
Meghna, just worth saying. No one yet explored real causality : depression leading to bereavement or bereavement triggering depression (major depression disorder) on a longitudinal normal population cohort design. I think this might be quite challenging.
Still looking for a valid and reliable scale of lovability which is critical in treating most childhood trauma.
Creating a scale would put you on the map. No simple project though.
