Yes you can. Usually we store vectors at -20 if we use it frequently in our experiments (working vectors). However, if you want to store the vector for a long time, you can store the -80 then. In our lab, we usually store the bacteria at -80 that carries the vector and keep the purified vector at -20.

6 months at 4oC, 2 years at -20 and -80 for longer but they are very stable and can be dried onto whatmann paper and stored in a sealed bag at RT.
