I have to compare relative survival (have 5-year estimates with SEs and patients number per group) across 3 time periods. Cannot use log-rank etc as (probably) it is impossible to operate with raw data for this job. Found this (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6671129) but did not understand anything (stupid in math). Feel that should use Z-score or Poisson model, however did not find simple algorithm (as for medical professional) to do this. Please help!
Do you have 3 groups of patients or 3 successive measures?
Could you explain more?
Dear Mehmet, basically 3 groups of patients treated in different time periods: 1990-98, 1999-2007 and 2008-15. The survival is rising across 3 groups, so the question is - if this rising is statistically significant.
