Hi Everyone,
I am using spectral imaging to determine the elastin spectral signature in my sample and I applied the spectral unmixing to separate different component within the same sample that would have been otherwise overlapped.
The unmixing technique allows the final image to be decomposed into separate "images," one for each of the reference spectra. The intensity of each final image corresponds to the calculated amount of that spectral component present at each pixel.
Now, what could I do with the unmixed images?
Can I quantify the signal of a specific unmixed component? if so, what does it tell me? Can I measure the signal of a given unmixed component (i.e. elastin)?
I thought I could measure the total number of pixel of the unmixed component over the total number of pixel of the whole image. But it looks too easy and perhaps it gives me nothing.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Laura
