I have done ChIP qPCR in macrophages, the negative control gene that I used was OCT4, it worked well, means, It did not amplyfied.
Now I am doing experiments with another antibody and I noticed amplification. What other genes I could use as negative control in macrophages? Thank you.

Examples for negative control : GAPDH actin, ab26721, a RNA polymerase II CTD repeat YSPTSPS-ChIP grade antibody. Also , use `beads only` or beads with an isotype matched control immunoglobulin (Ig), this will give you the background of the assay.

Thank you for your reply. I am using anti IgG as negative control. What I need is a region in the DNA that it is not affected by my treatments/ChIPantibody to confirm that the amplifications that I am seeing in my regions of interested are not random.
