I have come across various articles stating the usage of Styrene Maleic Acid copolymer Lipid Particles (SMALP) in solubilizing overexpressed membrane proteins instead of detergents. The general overview was that SMALPs are better than detergent. So just wanted to ask if anyone is using commercial ready to use SMA copolymer. I couldn't google out anyone who is selling the same.

Thank you both Rob and Krutika for the answers. I was wondering if I could use DIBMA from anatrace instead of SMALP as the use of DIBMA is more straight forward then SMALP and you just need it while solubilization. Moreover it doesn't give any absorbance at 280 nM.
I came across this topic only now, but I can help out here. SMA copolymers for membrane protein research are commercially available via Polyscience (www.polyscience.eu), which is powered by Polyscope. The products are called SMALP and are ready-to-use aqueous solutions.
Be careful with synthesis of SMA in the lab, as the SMA polymers applied in membrane protein research cannot easily be reproduced by a batch reaction in the lab.
Cray Valley has discontinued its SMA business and thus the SMA 2000 product is not available anymore.
