my rat brain slice cultures - cells are dying around the cortical region (imaging around DIV 7), although the hippocampus region are all very healthy.

The thickness of the slice is 300um and slices are collected by Vibratome Leica VT1200s .

Slices are cultured on top of the insert.

Any input suggest/ advise would be greatly appreciated very much.
