I need to measure the purity of methanol that has some impurities, mainly water and a few salts. Right now I am assuming it is a mixture of water and methanol, and I am using density as an indicator of methanol purity, but I am not sure about my results. Is there other simple ways of knowing the total methanol concentration in my solution? Or is density a good indicator?

The range of methanol mass concentration goes from 50 to 100% w/w.
