Dear all,

I am trying to understand shear strain increments/rate on rainfall induced slope(Landslides). I am analysing the variation of strain increments using FLAC (two-phase flow) and Mohr-Coulomb soil constitutive model.

I had tried analysing slopes with various rainfall intensity varying from 100-300/day. The shear strain increments (ssi) I found was of the order of 1*10^2 to 2*10^3. I was wondering whether the magnitude of ssi during rainfall is possible?

1) Whether the values I am getting is right one?  

2) Should I assign set large (large strain) command?

Please give your valuable suggestion.
