No, Oil exploration can never stop in the next 100 years. Because the energy requirements of the world will increase with population. Also, the services science and engineering technology of production of real sector economy cannot survive 100% with renewable energy. The thermodynamics laws for renewable energy is very young e.g production of Iron and steel industry.
Well, if we have exhausted then where do we go for exploration !!! If not then I don't think , we need fuel for all our daily living activities , the demand keep increasing unless alternate energy resources or renewable levels it out .
My answer is no. If oil exploration stop every thing will stop. If sufficiently alternative oil will be available then we will think about oil exploration.
