The evaluation parameters demands continuous interaction, addition of research items, etc. But the scientists working in labs, in field work, in attending conference, travelling across the oceans may presumably not stay in connection all the time. General, understanding is, you spend more will contribute more, thus rewarded better.
It is recommended that a fair period should be given to contribute.

Monthly evaluation of RG score will be optimal. There is a time for enjoying in sharing papers, projects, ideas, comments, etc...
Weekly evaluation of RG score keeps track of various activities like answer of questions, recommendation and your help for research or your contribution, interaction etc. However, I agree that it is very short period for evaluation, it should be fortnightly or monthly scholarly activities on RG.
