Of course it is good to read papers of other researchers to learn more about dynamic analysis of structures. Together with that I suggest you a very simple way to check your own analysis. It is comparison of the values of vibrations' periods.

Please tell me which structure (number of floors, height, dimensions in plan) are you modeling and analyzing and give me the obtained by you values for the vibrations' periods. Then, based on my extensive experience, I can with some accuracy tell you whether your analysis is good or not.

Mikayel Grigor Melkumyan So since I was trying to make an incremental dynamic analysis in order to know the process I tried to make my model as simpler as possible.

I have 1 story 2D frame with 1 bay (H= 3m and bay width = 6m) and from the modal analysis we get T=0.035 s

The value of vibrations' period you have received is almost correct.

But you are analyzing not a real structure where the influence of the floor's slab was not taken into account. With consideration of the slab's stiffness the actual period will become smaller.

You can evaluate the natural period of your structure using empirical formulas. But if you use SAP nonlinear dynamic calcs, you can get periods from these calcs. Maybe this reference will also help you:
