Sample size for my research project? what would effect data collection method?

I am proceeding to investigate the daignostic utility of miRNA as minimally invasive biomarker in lung cancer.I choose two groups one is lung cancer patients and another normal control group.I would analysis for serum miRNA expression in both groups using q-RTPCR.
