Idea to plot hysteresis curve in ANSYS APDL for max. Displacement against shear force of a structural model during time history analysis.
You can get the output of force and displacement separately and plot the curve in excel. to get the output, I share a part of my code as an example:

I know this way but I am looking for a direct way using ANSYS procedures such as in ABAQUS software.
You can open it in ANSYS Workbench and go to the results select the displacement and the force reaction together and click on "New chart" after that select axis X displacement and axis Y force reaction and you will get the hysteretic curves.

about your second question, yes, you can open APDL files in workbench and vice versa.
