Hi, I'm MS student in skku.

I am currently working on regulation of the NRF2 mechanism by andrographolide in HaCat cell. Andrographolide increases NRF2 mRNA level and transcriptional activity in the cell as well as ho-1 mRNA level. However, the ROS level did not decrease after the pretreatment of Andrographolide for 1 hr, 24hr, and 48hr (via dcfda assay).

I expected that the ROS level would decrease cause andrographolide increases NRF2 activity.

Does anyone have possible explanation for this??
