Sorry I am not a chemist, but need a simple (references or explanation) about what is the advantage(and disadvantage) of choosing DMSO or DMF when fabricating a perovskite solar cell. It is known that the most stable perovskite devices to date are using the DMSO. What DMSO has done to improve the performance. How it interacts with PbI2? Thank you.

Both solvents have similar physical properties but DMSO is safer than DMF.

@ Abdelhalim Zekry Sir any bad impact of DMSO on devices which are fabricated in DMF. In our lab some student using DMSO solvent and other DMF solvent in Same Glob box... Any impact of these solvents at one another
I have never got any transparent solution, when perovskite MAPbI3 was dissolved in DMF.
by centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 30 minutes, finally I got transparent yellow solution. I do not need to filter it.

In a DMF/DMSO mixture (4:1, respectively) you can get a transparent solution just by shaking it in hand for some time. or by a 5 minutes stirring.
I get a clean yellow mixture when I heat at 85 ° C on hot plate the perovskite solution for about 30min
There may be some undissolved PbI2 powder at the bottom in the solution due to impurity or moisture absorbed by the material.
