Are the enzymes RNase A and RNase I the same?
On the internet I find that the name "RNase A" stands for the pancreatic ribonulease family (endonucleases). There are 10 human genes (ANG, RNASE1, RNASE10, RNASE12, RNASE2, RNASE3, RNASE4, RNASE6, RNASE7, and RNASE8) that code for these kinds of pancreatic ribonucleases, so the family counts 10 members.
On Wikipedia they use the names "RNase A" and "RNase I" as synonyms, but at Thermo Fisher you can buy both RNase A and RNase I, they sell it as two different enzymes.
So what is RNase A exactly and is it the same as RNase I? If no, what is the difference?
What is the sequence of RNase A and RNase I?
