Which can be ideal RNA markers for cell fractionation, as in for nuclear fraction and cytoplasmic one? I need to work on lncRNA localization in the different cell fractions.
Most transcripts that code for Nuclear-encoded-mitochondrial proteins (NEMPs) localize to the cytosol with very little in the nucleus. Xist1, MEG3 and MALAT1 transcripts can be used to validate nuclear fractions. (see https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-021-83541-1.pdf for specifics).
