I would like to keep my RNA and cDNA samples (from blood and chicken tissues) for long time,
Could anybody please suggest me about how and how long for their sample preservation?

if you have enough sample quantities, the best way would be to keep them frozen at -20°c (or -80°c if you got one) in pure alcool. you will loose some during extraction but quality won't variate.

I always keep my RNA samples in -80C and I can store them for long. I stored in RNAase free water for 1 yr.
I keep RNA samples at -80°C for best use 6 month (always try to dissolve RNA sample in RNase free water), before use the RNA sample check the integrity and concentration and cDNA can store at -20°C but for long time you can store -80°C for more than 1 year.
It is good to save RAN in liquid Nitrogen for long time storage. for short time store your RNA or DNA as Brij Nath Tewari suggest.
