I germinated my rice plants in hydroponic solution and left them in growth chamber with temp: 30 at day and 25 at night with 12 h light and 12 h dark and 75% humidity. At the stage of two seed leaves (10 days old) seedling were transferred into a hydroponic nutrient solution (water was exchanged twice in those 10 days). At the time of transferring plants into hydroponic solution culture, plants seemed to be yellow in color. I thought it was due to nutrient deficiency and when I will give them nutrient solution they will turn green, but I observed that they didn't change their color even after 5 days. but at 7th day after transferring, they started to change the color into green, but the speed of changing the color is too slow.
I want to know first of all why my plants become yellow immediate after germination and why they have slow rate of turning from yellow to green. I am also adding photos of my plants growing in nutrient solution and water both, you can also observe well in those photos.
Hope you can understand my problem and guide me well, in case of some queries ask me any thing...
There are two different varieties seedling in one box, half box contain one variety and the other half box contains another rice variety
may be the uptake of nutrient is low because of the concentration of the solutions check the dose of nutrients and also the EC and the pH of the solution in order to correct it in case you that those parameters are not optimum for rice (check references for rice ).
Respected Dr. Srivastava and Yussfi, actually my work is on pH also, So, I had five pH levels i.e. 3.5, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 but I have not checked the EC of the solution. In all pH levels the result is same
Very pertinent points mentioned by the contributors. One additional thing coming to mind is that, can it be an issue of nutrient forms!! The form of nutrient, specifically N (nitrate or ammonium) and ratio of the nutrient forms are reported to affect the growth of young rice seedlings in hydroponics. However, this response had been reported to be genotype specific. Root nitrogen acquisition alters rhizosphere pH and redox potential, which in turn regulate root cell proliferation and mechanical properties. Plants develop thinner and longer roots when ammonium is the primary nitrogen source. Have no idea if the following links and reference would provide any useful clue:

Please consider EC as very important parameter in hydroponics.I feel pH of 3.5 and 8.0 in hydroponics would be difficult for rice.I have two quarries, how do you maintain these limits of pH and do you maintain almost same EC at these pH..
Dr. Srivastava I maintained pH by adding HCl and NaOH, but I have not checked EC of any solution.
What should be the EC of solution, so that I make a trial keeping 6.0 pH and the recommended EC and then see the results.

A pH of 3.5 at the beginning is high. This yellow color probably indicates nitrogen deficiency.
The pH ranges are not suitable and probably by adding NaOH and fertlizers you are making the solution charged of salts. Many of those pH ramges doesnot allow the plant to uptake nutrients. On the other hand sodium also is a source of stress that can prohibt the absoption of nutrient. You have yo check the EC and rethink the pH tests.

What is the light level during day and night time inside the chamber? Are you sure about the light intensity inside the chamber? I understood from your question that you are facing the yellowing problem after shifting inside the chamber.
Somehow I'm work is little related to yours in different crop. I'm growing my plants inside the chamber with same humidity level and more or less same temperature. I faced this same problem inside the chamber due to low level light intensity.
I recommend you to check once the maintenance of chamber respective to temperature, humidity and light level. Make sure about your nutrients as well.
In one of my experiments with rice, in hydroponic culture, I observed the same that Mr. Umed Ali Leghari observed. To me it is for the under developed root system of the new seedlings which could not uptake sufficient amount of nutrient in that stage particularly N. But with increasing time, the root system developed and gradually the nutrient uptake was increased and thereby the leaves were started to become green.

Dear Umed, I too bank upon the light intensity you have provided inside the growth chamber for the yellow primary leaves. Normally etiolated leaves can turn green within 3-4 hours after irradiation. I presume that the light intensity within the growth chamber is inadequate ( you have not mentioned the light source while, details of photoperiod, temperature and RH are available in your question)

Exactly I am facing the same problem which Dr. Azad mentioned in his reply.
Another thing I want to add here that my plants were grown in DD water and at the 10th day I shifted them to nutrient solution and observed that plants became yellow but started to recover after seven days of nutrient solution application. Other plants which were not shifted to nutrient solution and still were in DD water, also showed the yellow colour.
For that I conducted another trial and sown seeds in three different media i.e. DD water, tape water and nutrient solution. I gave them the same environment which I gave to last trial plants. I observed the plants which were in DD water were seemed weak and yellowish in color but the plants which were in tape water they were more healthy than DD water plants. The plants which were in nutrient solution were very healthy and green than all other media plants. In my opinion it was due to nutrient deficiency because the plants in DD water survived for 10 days and this period is very long for young rice seedlings that is why their leaves color turned into yellow.
Further more, I am adding photos as you all can analyse it correctly.
