Hi,

I am setting up cell culture experiments in a new lab and in an effort to reduce plastic waste I want to use reusable glass serological pipettes. In previous labs I used individually wrapped sterile plastic serological pipettes with a filter plug and so I have no experience with reusable ones.

My question is, is it possible to use glass reusable pipettes for cell culture (cleaned with a dishwasher and autoclave) or is the risk of contamination too high? Is it better to use with or without a cotton stopper end (and how should I replace this with each wash/autoclave)?

Thanks in advance! :)
