Rural entrepreneurship can only be a reality where there is low rural urban migration of skilled labor. The economy determines what you can do in the rural area such as agriculture, health, commerce and manufacturing (closer to raw materials). You cannot research into rural entrepreneur if your recommendation will not be implemented by government who much provide enabling environment for rural entrepreneurship to grow such as good road network, water, access to finance (loan) at lower rate with not too much demanding collateral. I am speaking from developing economy such as Nigeria where electricity for preservation of rural production is below expectation and other government support. Unemployment of capable and competent labor who are willing to work cannot be achieved only in the urban development. Remember what is good for urban city is also good for rural areas residents.

Academic research cannot be achieved easily if the time it will take to complete research will delay the promotion and career progression of the academia. Special Government intervention must be granted in form of money for this type of research and awareness of the rural inhabitants of the benefits of the research.

At a group of three researcher level we are looking at social enterprises operating in remote rural areas in India where institutions are weak and environment is non-munificent. Would like to know more on rural entrepreneurship perspective.
