Briefly speaking:

Step1：data preprocessing+data normalization

Step2：gene selection (reduce the data dimension & select important genes related to the disease)

Step3：use part of the data set to train the models(SVMs,NNs, or rule-based systems

Step4：Test on the rest of the data
