Dear ResearchGate Community,
I am currently seeking a laboratory attachment opportunity and potential grant support or sponsorship to carry out my research project titled:
“Molecular Modeling and Synthesis of Benzylidenechroman-4-One Derivatives as Potential Acetylcholinesterase and BACE-1 Inhibitors for the Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Research Summary
This 12-month project combines computational drug design, synthetic organic chemistry, and biological evaluation. The goal is to design, synthesize, and assess novel benzylidenechroman-4-one derivatives using a molecular modeling approach, followed by biological screening for enzyme inhibition and antioxidant activity.
Objectives
Use molecular docking and ADMET tools to identify promising derivatives.
Synthesize selected compounds via Knoevenagel condensation
Perform in vitro AChE/BACE-1 inhibitory assays and antioxidant screening
What I Am Looking For
Laboratory attachment or hosting in a department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field, preferably with access to synthesis and bioassay facilities.
Grant support or donation (reagents, consumables, or financial aid) to supplement the cost of synthesis, analysis, and biological evaluation.
Target Institutions/Collaborators
Universities, research institutes, or pharmaceutical labs with a focus on drug discovery, neurodegenerative disease research, or natural product derivatives.
