Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a protocol for writing research articles. When writing my publication I found that as a first approach it was good to write down the chronological order of my experiments. Here I was answering the following questions for each experiment:

· What was the idea/goal?

· What was done?

· How was it done?

· Why was this approach/experiment chosen?

· What could be observed?

· Which observations support your assumptions? – why?

· Which observations confute your assumptions? – why?

· What could be done differently? What was the next step?

So to say I first wrote down the real story and then rearranged the information according to the designated appearance in the paper (introduction, methods etc.) What approach do you choose, when writing a research article?

Thanks in advance for your answers!
