Dear all,

I am culturing some suspension cell lines. I am planning to perform proteomics (LC-MS/MS) experiments on them.

Unlike adherent cells (viable cells are adhering to the substrate and dead cells are generally detached and easy to remove by PBS washing), Viable as well as dead suspension cell lines are both floating.

Do I need to perform dead cells removal (e.g. using Dead Cells Removal Kit) before harvesting my suspension cells?

Any experience of how dead cells may affect the Proteomics Analysis (LC-MS/MS)? My initial Western blot shows the expected trend though (w/o removing dead suspension cells).

Example of Dead Cells Removal Kit could be like this one: https://www.miltenyibiotec.com/BE-en/products/macs-sample-preparation/removal-reagents/dead-cell-removal-kit.html

Appreciate in advance your kind advices.

Kay
