To discuss really scientifically the problem “Relationship of Human Brain, Mind, and Consciousness with Physical Science and Mathematics” it is necessary before to understand what are “Human Brain”, “Mind”, “Consciousness”, “Physical Science”, and “Mathematics”

- what is fundamentally possible only if the fundamental phenomena/notions, first of all in this case “Matter”, “Consciousness”, “Space”, “Time”, “Energy”, “Information, all of which really” are fundamentally completely transcendent/uncertain/irrational in the mainstream philosophy and sciences, including physics [and mathematics, though in mathematics that isn’t too essential].

Matter – and so everything in Matter, including very essentially/practically material “brain”, and any“Consciousness”, including her version “consciousness on Earth”, which acts in all living beings on Earth, including humans, are fundamentally different informational systems. At that consciousnesses on Earth use living beings practically material organisms only as the stable residences in the environment [in the “Information” Set – see the link above], power supply for their operations, and for some other service functions,

- while all consciousnesses operate mostly outside Matter and Matter’s space in own specific spaces, which only partially cross with Matter’s space

Returning more specifically to the “human’s consciousness” version:

- this consciousness uses rather developed practically material structure “brain” as/for

- the power supply [while on Earth only simplest living beings obtain energy for operation directly from Matter – plants the light energy, some bacteria in chemical reactions. All other beings obtain some specifically prepared energy by eating the simplest ones], that prepare energy for the main the consciousness’s functional modules, which process obtained by consciousness information;

- preliminary processing information about environment of the body’s sensors’ and

- as “hard disk” , since fundamentally non-material consciousness modules, say, “processor” and “random access memory” – as that is in computers - haven’t sufficient abilities in most cases.

Again, as that is in computers, where information is processed by a large number of modules, and only results of the processing is downloaded on monitor, practically all information processing in human’s consciousness proceeds on “sub-consciousness” levels, and only results are downloaded in the “mind mode operation” – this operation in mainstream is called “mind”

The utmost fundamental difference of any consciousness from any material structure/system is in that while any material object/structure/system fundamentally can obtain information only from other material objects/structures/systems, and can process the information only in accordance with Matter’s set of basic laws/links/constants, and so any processing result is completely correct,

- consciousnesses in principle can obtain information about any the Set’s element, and so, since at least not too developed consciousnesses, including humans’ ones, have rather limited abilities at the processing, results of the processing are always at least partially uncertain, or even can be some illusions – as that are many of physical theories.

The post is rather long already, so only one note else: again, any consciousness is fundamentally non-material system, while physics studies only Matter/matter, correspondingly anything in physics isn’t applicable at studying of anything in consciousness, besides some rather minor auxiliary information about some objects/events/processes that exist and happen in brain, and, at that, that would have some real scientific sense only provided that this physical information is elaborated only as relating by some ways to the non-material consciousness.

All I can say in response to your reply that the mind as a journey into the abstract, where these entities, e.g. numbers, addition, dimensions of space and also time, are traditionally intertwined with the physical world, are elegantly abstracted to their purest form.

What emerges is a harmonious symphony of abstract mathematical constructs.

Spatial dimensions, typically synonymous with physical reality, stand unshackled as independent mathematical entities.

The numbers we perceive in daily life, such as 1 and even the concept of (1+1), transcend their physical embodiments and become ethereal elements of mathematical thought of mind.

This perspective doesn't halt at the spatial; it extends to time. Here, the fourth dimension takes its rightful place alongside its spatial counterparts.

Time, too, is recognized as an abstract mathematical entity, free from the bonds of physical constraints, and a consideration of the mind.

Moreover, in the mainstream, including, biology and neurology, the really fundamentally existent informational system “consciousness” simply doesn’t exist, the standard mainstream definition of the notion “consciousness” [say, Oxford dictionary], “consciousness” is:

1. the state of being able to use your senses and mental powers to understand what is happening I can't remember any more — I must have lost consciousness. She did not regain consciousness and died the next day.

2. the state of being aware of something synonym awareness his consciousness of the challenge facing him class-consciousness (= consciousness of different classes in society)

3. the ideas and opinions of a person or group her newly-developed political consciousness issues affecting the popular consciousness of the time.

And that, again, is completely sufficient in the mainstream; despite that for any normal human that above could have some sense only if in the definition above the terms “your” – and so for “you” - “to be able to use”, “mental power”, “awareness”, etc. are scientifically defined, but about all of which the mainstream principally has only principally transcendent mystic instinctive knowledge.

That is another thing, that because this completely instinctive knowledge allows humans, including scientists in psychology, biology, physics, etc., to obtain for/by some transcendent reasons and ways some instinctively to analyze by really written for/by some transcendent reasons and ways in for/by some transcendent reasons and ways existent “somethings” [neurons, brains, etc.] “Logical Rules”, some really written for/by some transcendent reasons and ways existent “information”, which turns out to be adequate sometimes to reality; etc.

So, say, really, since in mainstream science “Consciousness” doesn’t exist, really, say, mainstream neuroscientists study some objects/events/processes really only in the consciousness “material hardware”, having no any understanding what they study. As, say, that would be even in more simple case, when somebody attempts to understand – what is a black box?, which is really a computer with running program, having no any understanding what that can be in the box, observing only some pictures on monitor and having no access to processor, RAM, etc.,

- poking by electrodes in arbitrary points on the motherboard and hard disk, on contacts in microchips, having no understanding that that are microchips and hard disk, measuring potentials, EM waves, etc.

The result would be – and it is till now in neuroscience – evident: fundamentally zero, besides some applied things, as, say, that if in something in the computer box a portion of HCl is dropped, on the motherboard potentials, pictures, etc. change; and, say, if a portion of C2H5OHappears in a brain, mental processes change, etc.

Though note, that even if physicists will understand what is “consciousness”, that would have some sense only in that rather numerous physicists would stop to invent next and next really fantastic “physical theories of life and consciousness”, since physics fundamentally studies only Matter, while consciousness is fundamentally non-material system, and so they would make something more rational/useful in science.
