Regulated exocitosis: vesicular golgi sorting (proteins) and vesicular retention, how do they work?

Hi folks,

I was wondering what determines a protein to go into the regulated vesicular exocytosis. I am also interested in understanding how vesicles from the regulated pathway are arrested in the cytoplasm.

I am having trouble finding articles that explain this. I am not an expert in cellular transport but I need to understand these better for my field.
